== Issue with striking text ==

Just now I attempted to strike out an RfA vote and associated discussion [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:Requests_for_adminship/Shushugah&diff=1103987081&oldid=1103986575 here]. Even though I added the correct <nowiki> <s>...</s></nowiki> tags it managed to strike out everything after the opening tag. I managed to get around it with [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:Requests_for_adminship/Shushugah&diff=prev&oldid=1103988006 this], but something still seems off. Was it something I did (wouldn't surprise me), or is there some kind of glitch? : # and : (and * and ;) start html elements that end at the end of the line they're on.  Each &lt;s> tag within one has to end in a matching &lt;/s> tag on the same line.
